Have a new Model 12 LRP in .243 (This is one of the Savage target actions and target Accu-triggers)
Have about 200 rnds through it now and have problems every so often after shot bolt is "stuck" and won't pull back to extract spent round.
Cases show no signs of problems on chamber - no scratches or signs of getting stuck.
Have tried several brands of ammo all seem to do this maybe 1 in 20. Pretty sure it's rifle and not ammo.

Any one seen this before?

BTW - love this rifle. Crazy accurate - shooting holes (yes, nore than one) through quarters at 100yds.

You have a primary extraction problem. This is getting to be more common because of out of spec bolt handles.

Thanks for that -
Cause and fix?
Savage Arms said to send rifle back to them for a look.

The cause....the ramp cut on the bolt handle is too deep, resulting in less camming distance from the ramp on the rear baffle.
The fix....get a bolt handle that has less machined from the ramp.

Thanks SharpShooter -

I imagine a bolt handle will cost just about the same a shipping the rifle back to Savage Arms - If that's a guaranteed fix for this issue, I'm game. Where would a fella find one of these "less machined from ramp" bolt handles?
