I have a new Savage 12 BVSS .223 in transit to my FFL. What is a good mount and rings for a Weaver scope? And where are the best places to buy them? I will be using this gun for target shooting out to 200 yards.

I give you my .02. Cause you may have a lot of penny's when this thread is over.
MY personal favorite is:
EGW HD one piece Piccatinney base. 0 MOA or whatever. Find the stability of the one piece base with a "largeish" 50mm scope (in my case) to be, all things being even... sturdier.
Warne rings. particularly the QD. Like the option to remove the scope if needed and still maintain zero.
And a one piece base makes it possible to align the base to the receivers possible difference in height by shimming/bedding. One solid platform for your scope to sit on.
Good luck in whatever choice you make.
And, GOOD SHOOTIN!!
Oh, and I find Midway Supply to be the best in stock supplier of parts/supplies. Got my rings and base from them.
