Hello, new guy and I am hoping someone can help me. I have a 116 iwith Accu-trigger in 375 H&H mag that I would like to replace the stock and convrt to a hinged floor plate. I am looking to do this as I recently received a Boyd's JRS stock for a Savage in a grab bag of stuff I picked up at a garage sale. I would like to do this gun as the factory stock is rather loud if it contacts brush. The barreled action fits in the stock but I now need a floorplate and whatever metal is further required.
If it this can't be done with the 375 then I will find the proper stock and use this one for something else. Thanks for any help.

I personally do not see why it would not be possible. I know Browning makes hinged floor plates for their rifles, not sure if any are 375 H&H length.

Savage never made hinged floor plates to accommodate the longer magazine that the H&H uses.

Thanks for the comments, I was afraid there would be no simple solution. I was hoping there was a hinged plate assembly or some sort of bottom metal to use to fill in the opening on the stock. I suppose I could make something but it is more putzing than I want to do. It looks like I will need a stock for a blind magazine and then probably sent this one down the road.

I'd take a look at a Remington bottom metal. You just might be able to adapt it to use on the Savage. Worth a look anyway.
