I used the same data as for 1 in 14 since I was shooting 50-60 grain bullets. My .22-250 shoots the Nosler 60 grain Partition much better than my 1 in 14 Ruger did. Other than that I saw no difference. I do not plan on shooting anything heavier than a 62 grain TSX, which I have not tried loading yet. My favorite bullet is the 50 grain V Max over Varget or Ramshot Big Game.

Mine really likes 36.0 grains of Varget, CCI 200 primer and a Sierra 55 grain Gameking #1365.

MV * 720 / Twist = RPM

Dogtowns, TNT(low vel), and Varmint nightmares have the lightest jackets. Keep them under 240-260,000RPM and they will be fine. Otherwise just use regular loading data: start low and work-up in YOUR gun.

Traditionally the 22-250 is a 1:14 twist to not grenade the lightweight bullets when pushed to 4000fps, most are still built with a 14. I love my 12 twist though, leaves more options. Twist rate is part of the equation of bullet stability, what some fail to realize is bullet stability is actually a function of rpm(see above equation). Slower twist and more fps stablizes the same bullet from a barrel with more twist/less fps.

What is the load for?

Paper/ pdogs/ if you like the vmax for yotes.
53vmax, b.c. is .290 and can be pushed hard. Best combo of wind drift, flatness, energy down range.

Paper/yotes
52/53 Sierra matchkings, shoots tiny holes, recommended for yotes with consistent small exits.

Paper/pdogs/yotes with better than vmax penetration
55 nbt, shoot great and have a good .267 b.c. Best combo of penetration/wind drift/ energy down range.

Paper/pdogs
55 Sierra blitzking, shoots great, .270 b.c, very thin skinned for expansion.

Primers - I like CCI and Win
Brass - Lapua or well prepped Win brass.
Powder - Ramshot Big Game, W760, RL15, H380 are proven performers in my model 12

Mine doesn't mind jumping to the lands quite aways but some I load close to the lands, I've played with RL17 and 64 bergers(.294b.c.) a little and it looks promising. I don't have any love for Varget in 22-250 or 223 always fails to perform for me.
