I checked a local pawn shop out, hadnt been in in a month or so. I saw a old 110 flatbarack, and asked to look at it. Had steel weaver grand slam rings, and weaver bases. Had the old brown 110 stock, and steel iron sights. Front sight had bead made integral, bolted one, rear was dovetailed in the barrel itself. I checked it over, barrel looked mint, blue mint, stock 90%. I felt the scope moove,so figured the mounts were loose, and the gun would not cock, I figured the trigger screws needed adjus

Great deal. I picked up a wood stocked 110 in .270 today for $200 and thought that was a great deal. Unfortunately, a few hours later I picked up a CZ 550 .270 NIB for $400, so now I have two rifles ;). My original plan was to use the Savage for hunting this year then switch it over to a target cartridge, but now I can start working on that now. Of course, now I have two scopes to buy instead of just one.

Congratulations to you guys who got good deals. For some reason, I have not found a pawn shop since moving to PA. Used to frequent them in FL when I lived there years ago.

I saw a old 110 3006 for 232.00 probably get it for less -he allways gives me a little bit of a break
wierd thing is it had a round back like the newer models but it was an older one ?
I think it said on the barrel 110 E series s
anyone know what it is ? just an old 110 the skipped a maching step on ?

Might be a re-barrel job on a newer Stevens action?

maybe but I dont think so-looks real old - writing on barrel lined up with stock 110e series s or something like that wrote on it
right behind the round back - the bolt shroud is flat- like it would line up with the receiver if it was flat
who know maybe it is a new Sav stevens that just happened to headspace with wrtiting lined up
but it sure looks like it came that way -
Ill check the serial # next week
