Can a youth stock be put on this rifle? If so, any suggestions? It is fo my son and don't want to put a lot of $ in it.

The mounting screw hole spacing may be different on a current youth stock compared to the spacing of an older long action made to shoot short action cartridges. If so the existing holes in the youth stock can be filled with glued in dowels and redrilled to the proper measurement for that older stock.
Do not modify that older stock as getting a replacement is like pulling teeth.
