A gunshop in my area has a few of the long action M200s left for $269.99.

I picked one up from Academy sports about 12 - 18 months ago. It is a center feed rifle. I got it out the door for a buck or so less than $ 200.00.

A friend called me and told me that he had read that academy had the rifles on clearance for 169.99. He did not know the caliber. I called the store closest to my house and the guy at the gun counter said that they had one .223 in stock and that it was on clearance. I asked him to hold it and told him I would be there in 30 minutes or less. I went to the store, filled out all of the paperwork and went up front to pay. When they rang it up, it came out at around 325.00. The manager was with me and he pulled out the sale flyer. He said that it was 7-8's and 270's that were on sale. The guy told me that since it was the only .223 they had and because I had driven so far, that he would let me have it at the sale price.

That is my best gun story.

$169.99 wow that's a deal. I wish there were some Academy Sports near me. I hear they have some really good deals from time to time.

I just thought I would give everybody a heads up. I see that grabagun.com and budsgunshop.com have them back in stock. ;D

I bought a Stevens 200 yesterday and I figured out where they all went

The Savage 110 got a complete re design accustock and accutrigger and there was also the new cheap Axis.

Stevens 200 was in between. Low priced like an Axis, but can easily be re barrelled like a 110.

Stevens 200 was around for a couple years and disappeared in 2012.

The 200s were a way to use up old Sav 110 parts in the pipeline.

I thought the steven's line has been long discontinued? like since the edge was released? does savage still make them?
