Morning all,

I just stumbled accross a lefty 116 pre-accutrigger with the flat rear receiver and it followed me home. Anyone know if I can put an accutrigger in it? Is there any difference between it and the newer round receivers regarding triggers?

Thanks,

Josh

Oh yeah one more thing! Will it fit into a newer round receiver stock that came off a lefty 111 round receiver with Accutrigger?

Thanks,

Josh

Dude,
The general consensus around here is that the accu-trigger can not be fitted to the older actions. The factory 3-screw is a great choice for a trigger upgrade. Properly adjusted it usually performs better than the accu-trigger.

Your older action has the same bolt spacing as the newer ones, so it will bolt in, but the mag wells are different and it may require some fitting for your magazine to work.

Tune up a 3-screw or go straight to a Basix SAV-2.

Even a tuned two screw will work great.
My old two screw is on par with the finest triggers I've used.

Put an SSS trigger on it.

I've got two of the Standard Rifle Basix triggers in two of mine of love them. Not too bad on the price either.

I have basically the same action, LH, flat back. I put a Rifle Basix 1 trigger on it set to just under 3 lbs. They're about 100 bucks new. I think the model I have goes from 1.5 to 3. Its okay but I think the Savage 3 screw trigger is just as good.
