If I bought a new model 10 predator max 1 in 6.5 creedmoor, could I spin off the factory tube and spin on a CBI light varmiter and have it fit the accustock without modification? I think this gun comes with a fluted medium varmiter barrel but I can't find dimensions of the factory barrel anywhere to compare it to the CBI. I like everything about the gun but the 24 inch tube. If this would work and I decided to go this route, would there be a market for this barrel wher I could sell it to get some of the money back I spent on the barrel? What would it be worth?

Thanks in advance for any insight.

If the factory barrel is shooting good groups have the barrel trimmed and crowned to 22 or 20 inches an rezero. A lot cheaper than a new barrel.

I think it is the heavy sporter contour on them. I just ordered one from Jim as I was in the same situation except for the Accustock. I would have cut and recrowned but fluting ruined that idea. Give Jim a call @ Northland he can hook you up.

the barrel dia is right at .700 at muzzle if I remember correctly.
I have a couple of Model 10 Max 1 preds in 243.
(soon to be slow twist 243AI and a 17/204 just got my barrels in)
Might want to shoot it before you buy the replacement barrel.
I bet it may just surprise you.
