Pros/Cons for Sporter/Tactical stocks: Hogue, B&C, H&S

So after months of research I purchased a used 10fp-LE2 at a gun show, and the previos owner had superglued a slip on recoil pad to the "tupperware" stock, but I knew that I probably would upgrade the stock after a short period.

So I have read through this forum pretty extensively and I'm trying to make some final decisions and make sure I am not missing something.

1. Rifle 10fp-LE2 in .308 (Hbar obviously) stagger feed, blind mag, 4.27 action spacing.
2. Need this to be a multi-purpose rig. Hunting as well as target. So a heavier stocks like some of the Choate and B&C Medalist A2 are out for me.
3. 4x16 x 50mm Burris Black Diamond is on it's way to mount up.
4. I want to put a military style sling on it so I can hunt as well as sling it for prone shooting. So the stock needs to be stiff enough to not deflect when I'm shooting prone.
5. Most shooting will be 100-300 yards, but there is a 1000m range at the military base locally that I probably will stretch the gun's legs on.

So based on all of this I have run into a few choices at different price points but need to make sure I'm not missing something.
1. $100 price range- Duramaxx vs Hogue pillar bed. Pro/Cons? stiff enough for a shooting sling?
2. $200 price range- Hogue fully bedded (seems new and I cannot find much on details). Or Boyd's VT thumbhole (but I would need to pillar bed thisand I'm not a huge fan of thumbhole stocks.
3. $300 range, H&S Pro 2000

Anything Im missing? Thoughts?

Pro's, they're cheap.

Con's, they're not McMillans.

Under $450 gets you a quality McMillan made precisely as you specify.

Resale value is good too.

duramaxx is fairly stout in the front, do the carbon arrow in the fore end trick and it makes it more solid. Probably do the same for the hogue.

Duramaxx is nice for aroudn 100, jury is out on the hogue until the brown truck brings it.

HS would be nice, tried to order one.... Honestly 6-8 months was the fastest lead time I've heard currently. Wouldn't even make 2012s hunting season.

I'd love the McMillan and who knows if the long distance bug really bites me I might go that direction. But even going to what I think is Rick Bin's site (24hrcampfire) I'm up to around $550 with inletting, pillars, swivel studs, butt pad and basic black finish. A bit more than I would like to spend right now.

Carbon fiber arrow on Duramaxx. Well I have a split carbon fiber arrow from a recent "robinhood", but I'd have to do the research on what epoxy would bond to the plastic.

Anyone have any feedback on the HS2000, looks like Stocky's has one in stock in olive web.

Maybe I need to do a bit more research and see if there is any feedback on the new Hogue with full bedding.

I have a Hogue with the full bedding block.
Its nice, Its solid and very firm,..... Its not light.
Too heavy for a walk around gun that I would carry.

The B&C tactical medalist is a good stock not that heavy. You can always trim the forend down to the shape you want if you don't like the factory style.

Nobody mentioned Stockade Stocks. Nice stuff in my opinion and lightweight.
