First Savage Centefire...Axis 223

I own several savage rimfires, but this will be my first savage centerfire rifle. I just Bought a Axis 223 youth model with the 20" barrel, model #19741 it should be here by the end of the week. I like shorter stocks that's why I ordered the youth model, it's got a 13" LOP and that should fit me like a glove. Looking forward to mounting a nikon scope and lightening the trigger a bit and going to the range to see how she shoots after a good cleaning. Do these rifles come with scope mounts, or do I need to buy a pair?

No it doesn't come with scope mounts. I tried the Weaver 46M two piece mounts and couldn't get the proper eye relief. Ended up going with the EGW one piece and love it.

Picked up a set of weaver 110 bases and weaver medium height rings today at wally world. Im going to attempt to do the trigger spring myself, seems simple enough and if it doesn't work out i'll do the rifle basics trigger. I have several scopes available just siting in a box, just need to pick one out. Now if the axis would arrive at my FFL I could get started.
