Removing mag well assembly 111FCXP3

I am getting ready to bed my stock and I need to remove the mag well assembly from the receiver of my 111FCXP3 (detachable magazine, button release on side of stock). How does one go about doing this?

Typically I smack it on the end with my action wrench with a rag on the mag to soften the blow a bit.
Others use a rubber mallet.

some place a thin screwdriver under the l bracket and rotate the tool back and forth till it lifts up. its all downhill fromm there.
