Hey guys, gotta question. I have a 10fp le2b .308 with what I believe is the McMillan A3 stock(correct me if I'm wrong). I was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to modify the stock so it could accept the detachable mags or if I had to get a new stock. If a new stock is in order, would it be better to try from savage or McMillan? Thanks.

McMillan is the best synthetic stockmaker out there bar none.
Send them your stock and bottom metal (if they don't already have the bottom metal programmed) and they'll inlet it perfectly for you.
Call them first.

Without seeing it I'm assuming that this is a staggerfeed/blind magazine rifle. You'll need to get a dbm assembly ( CDI, vbull, stockade etc) and have your stock inletted by any reliable 'Smith. I know that CDI inlets for his dbl for 75$ per.

SSS can also inlet your stock for you.

Get it done right the first time and have Jeff at CDI inlet your stock and provide mags for your Macmillan.
This one has CDI bottem metal and inletted and we just popped the action out after added aluminum pillars and bedding.
Now all cleaned up and CDI bottom metal installed along with gmac5 tactical bolt handle

Looks like very nice work Teele but I'm confident that McMillan would do just as well.

Didn't say that McMillan stocks were the best bar none (though they are certainly in the running). I said that McMillan is the best synthetic stockMAKER out there bar none. No other stockmaker I know of offers more configurations, inlets for more combinations, and services their customers better than McMillan.

I'll stand by my assertion that McMillan is the best synthetic stockmaker out there bar none.

Nothing you've posted, which is quite frankly, nothing, has in any way changed my opinion on the subject.

hey, i'm thinking of going the CDI route with my gun. is there any way that having the stock inletted affects the accuracy at all? i'm really happy with how my gun shoots and don't want to mess with anything that could possibly have negative results.
