need scope help with 93r17gv

hello iam new so bear with me i just got a new 93R17gv and a bushnell 3200 scope its 3x9x40 ,the guy at the gun store sold me some weaver med rings and the scope hits the barrel.and by the way iam using the 2 peace mounts that came with it.do i need the high ring or what...thanks for any help

Take the medium ring back and get the high rings.

It's a common issue on the Savage rimfires for medium rings not to be tall enough to clear the barrel.

Just bought a MarkII. Installed #16 Weaver bases, Weaver High rings
40mm x3x9 Bushnell scope clears . Also have a 50mm x 6x24 Tasco Varmint scope set up with high rings, Barely clears the barrel.
