Any recommendations on a scope that will hold together on a 308 Striker? I'm looking for enough power to see a target at 200 yards.

I used the Burris PosiLock on mine.

The drawback I had with it is same as all handgun scopes. I have long arms and sight picture is not clear unless I hold it at a length that is not stable enough.

I have used the Bushnell 2-6x, the Bushnell Elite 2-6x, Burris 2x, Burris 3-12x (I like these), Leupold 2x and a Leupold 2-8x. I have never one go bad due to recoil. The plain Jane $150 Bushnell will easily let you shoot prairie dogs to deer at 200 yards. It is not the best at shooting groups at that distance though. I find myself buying the Burris 3-12x every time now. Well, I did buy the 2x for my 9.5" Super Redhawk. You should have no issue with any of these on a .308 Win.

I have shot to 850 yards with the 12x.

My .308 Striker had a 3-9 Burris AO Posi-loc on it. It worked well for me on a hunting gun and I could get decent 200 yard groups. For shooting paper/targets or long range hunting I prefer more magnification so I use rifle scopes.
