Looking for a benchrest accessory

I shoot a Model 12 VLP from the bench with a front and rear bag. I also hunt with this rig and carry it with a sling. My problem is my sling stud snags the front bag under recoil. The stud on the VLP is removed only by taking the stock off of the action, which I don't care to do between bench shooting and hunting.
Is there such an accessory that might fit over the stud and allow the rifle to recoil smoothly in the front bag while bench shooting and then be removed for a sling attachment?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Dont know of a accessory, but what I do is put bedding compound around the nut that holds the sling stud. makes it easy to put on & take off.
