I have a Model 1895 250-3000 it has an Id number or a production number underneath the metal plate around the magazine. It is 175232.. I was first wondering the value of the the guy and how i could get the history of it. and secondly is there still ammunition avaivable for the gun. Not an 1895, you've got a model 1899 250-3000.

An early production one at that. Probably has a checkered trigger and an indian logo on the tip of the buttplate. It's a T/D model as well.

As long as it hasn't been tampered with like having a scope installed or had sling swivels added it'd probably fetch $500 up over $1000 depending on the condition it's in.

Ya, they still sell 100 gr ammo for it but if you know someone that reloads they like 87 gr pills alot better.

I think the other 9 must be worn down to look like a 5 maybe cause the model 1895's were never stamped with a 1895 stamping.
