Need Help With New Barrel for F Class 6BR

I've got a F Class Savage rifle, and am thinking about getting another barrel. I know that most 6mm cartridges have the same bolt face as the .308 profile, but am wondering whether a 6.5-47 Lapua barrel would work with my rifle?

It's a Savage, almost anything can work.
If the rifle WAS a short action, the Lapua is a short action.
If it WAS a long action, it will still work, but you CAN have occasional feeding issues with a long bolt throw.

Yes the 6.5X47 Lapua will work just fine on your F Class Action. Keep in mind that your F Class is a Large Shank Action so be sure you are ordering a Large Shank Barrel.
