Just what I wanted to hear. ;D ;D ;D

This is going to be a good trip. Counting down the days.

Just can't decide if a 325 gr FTX out of my 458 will be enough, or if I am going to be forced to load up some 500gr solids for those Rampant Bull P-Dogs. :o

And I thought I was bad shooting 178 AMAX, 208 AMAX and 190 Berger VLD's at them.

Don't forget your 22LR! See lots of Pdogs out here in NE CO. What about's will you be hunting? Around the Lamar area or more up North closer to the NE line?

Actually we are going mostly out east of the Springs area. No huge towns but enough to keep you shooting a while most times.

Got the hotel booked last night, and ordered the last few items i was in need of (they better be here in time ::)). Now just got to finish up the last of my loading and give the car an oil change and should be all set.

Still have to pack up the rifles but I probably won't do that until the day before anyway.

Counting down the days.

Just finished up loading the Ammo for my 243AI and some for the 223 WSSM. I don't normally load 300+ rounds in one evening, I think my arm is going to let me know about it in the morning, still got at least 200 more to go, but its all part of the fun. At least this will let me fireform the rest of my brass to the AI chamber, and have a great time doing it ;).

I was going to make a run up there to shoot them all (like that would happen!) before you guys get here.....but decided to go coyote calling in CO this weekend due to rancher calling and saying come down & shoot the ones that moved in after we removed the last 8 from the ranches.
I hope its nice next week as its been windy/raining here on & off the last 2 days.
This is one of the better hills to shoot them from. Oh and smack the yucca plants or any other shrub you lay next to, to insure there aint no rattler sunning by it. The windmill just above my sons head is about 1/3 mile away.
In case you want to see what we did last time there look at the slideshow. You may have seen it last year or longer ago.

Good luck boys. All the big Towns in NE Colorado, NW Kansas, I used to shoot have been either wiped out by the plague or poisoned by the ranchers.

5spd, how do you get those pics like that. would love to do something like that..

My son took them w/ his Nikon digital professional camera using the burst feature. He has a nice outfit and has a telephoto attachment on it. Those shots are all at 350-425 yds. Then putting them together in a slide show in photobucket after I resized them under photoshop.

That slide show is awesome. Looking forward to seeing the action first hand.

Glad you mentioned the rattlers, forgot all about them being out there. Here in the midwest they are not something I think about bumping into unless very near a quarry. I can deal with most any animal, but I hate snakes.

My pal may go with you guys as I told him about you 2. He knows the spot as well as I do since we shot there many, many times over the years.
He will let me know for sure by Wednesday eve.
If so Ill give your cell # to him to give you a yell.

Two more days until I depart. I hope I'll be able to sleep at night until then. ;D

I was wondering about something today though. I live at about 700ft above sea-level, and this area is about 6000ft above sea-level. What is that going to do to my trajectories? I would imagine that my bullet will strike a fair amount above my POA when scopes are zero'ed out here at 700ft. ???

Go to this site and plug in your data at the elevation you are sighted in at. Run a second set and change the elevation to where you will be shooting. Then compare the POI.

When in Colorado make sure to check out the bass pro Shop outside of Denver to view (not shoot) these teaser targets. Between I-70 and the store 2 years ago. I posted these on another site but thought you might like them also.
