Probably a dumb question, but. I have a pre accutrigger. .308 with factory dbm. Is this a 4.4" centerfeed sa? I measured with a ruler, between the screws on both sides of the mag well. It measured a bit less than 4 1/2".

Sounds like it is. The simple test for new Savage fans is to remove the stock. If the magazine stays in the stock, it is centerfeed. If it is attached to the action, it is a staggerfeed.

Maybe factory dbm wasn't clear. It has a detatchable box magazine. Not a blind magazine well.

On staggered feed DBM the mag housing stays attached to the action.
