Hello to everyone at this sight. I am a new member and came across this site while trying to find parts to fix up my old Savage o/u combo gun. I am in need of a stock and forearm assembly for a Savage model 24S-E combo gun. It was a Christmas present to me back about 1965 and was my first real gun. I want to fix it up and give it to one of my grandsons but am having one heckuva time finding the parts. I have checked Numrich Arms many many times with no luck. Was hoping someone here would know if and where the parts I need can be found or with so many variations of this gun will the stock and forearm from another model possilbly work. The gun is in good shape other than the wood, I carried it many days afield as a kid and took quite a good share of rabbits and squirrells with it. It is a .22 long rifle over a 20 gauge shotgun.Just digging it out of the safe and shouldering it brings back alot of memories. Thanks for your time and here's hoping someone can offer some information.
