Hey,
I have a model 16 woo wsm,left hand,and was wondering if I can get any feedback on converting it.Any and all advice is appreciated.

You might be better off selling it and buying the 204. Your gun is a large shank so you will need a large shank barrel. If you are going to keep it as a sporter you will have to get a custom barrel made. I think some of the target barrels are large shank so one of those would work but they are long (26") and heavy. You would also have to change your bolt head and if you want it to be a repeater, the mag box and follower.
I am sure others will chime in with further and possibly more accurate info.

Thanks fer the info Charlie.I was wonderin if you can let me know who would do the mag and follower.I have an aftermarket stock,a Choate "Master Sniper,and I just can'tseem to come up with the cash to buy a gun outright.Lemme know if you can help.

You can purchase all the parts from Sharp Shooters Supply, Midway , Brownells and others. You can do all the conversion yourself. Most everybody here has done one or more and will advise if needed.

Thanks Charlie.I've had that sa stock fer like 4 years,and i always wanted to make a varmint gun out of it.I figger a barrel from this site will be easy to find,then I'll be ali ready to play.

How about a WSSM conversion instead of the .204 and defer the .204 to another action?
