I have a 2006 Savage 111. What is the difference between a 111 and the 110 models?

Second newb question: How do I tell if I have an Accutrigger or regular trigger?

Second newb question: How do I tell if I have an Accutrigger or regular trigger?

If it has a blade sticking out the trigger that has to be depressed to fire the gun, then its an accu-trigger.

I have a 2006 Savage 111. What is the difference between a 111 and the 110 models?
The 111 was packaged as a hunters gun with a synthetic stock and sporter weight barrel while some 110's had wood stocks with sporter weight barrels. Other 110s were the Law Enforcement weapons with synthetic stocks but heavier weight barrels.
The actions are all the same on the 110, 111, 112, 114, and 116 with the only practical difference being what type of metal chromoly or stainless and large vs small shank barrel threads on the action. The 3 digit nomenclature denotes long action while short actions have a 2 digit code. 10, 11, 12, 14, and 16.

I have a wooden thumbhole stock and this might have been part of a special run for Dick's Sporting Goods according to Savage. The furniture was painted black and begs for stripping and refinish. I have an Accutrigger. Is it adjustable and if so, how is this done? I don't have a manual yet; called Savage and they are sending one.

You will need the little tool that comes with the rifle to adjust the Accutrigger.
Well the tool or something like it...
