I am looking for the starting and max load for my 338 lapua using their 285gr .338 cal using retumbo .

I'm shooting 300 grn Lapua Scenars usuing 92.5grns of Retumbo, .050 off the lands.

Start lower-maybe 91.0 grns, move up in .3 grain increments. I would find a good group maybe starting .030 off, then play with seating depth to see if the groups improve!

Sounds like one heck of a bullet to try out! Let us know your results!

Hornady lists 81.7 gr. as the starting load and 93 gr. as the maximum for Retumbo and the 285 gr. BTHP loaded in the .338 Lapua.

For the cost of a 100 of those bullets you could have bought 4 of the Hor loading book.

I was going to buy one but they didn't have any.
