Scope Power choice

At the risk of bringing up a prior discussion I'd like some opinions on scope power ranges. I already own a Sightron SIII 8x32x56 MOA, (which by the way is an awesome scope). I'm considering a second purchase for another build, 200-1000 (but likely under 800) yard gun, and I wondered what everyone thought about the 6x24 compared to the 8x32. I'm looking at the Sightron MOA again and the Vortex PST 6-24. I've never owned a Vortex.

6x24 or 8x32???

Between the 2, I'm inclined to give myself the additional 8x - so the 32x (56mm objective) would be my choice. Granted, there will be many times where you will not need/wnat the 32x, but it's nice to have when you can and do need it.

8x32! when are you going to use 6x instead of 8x! not often will you go under 18x
