I've been lurking for a while now, learnt alot and have a couple of questions.

Does the magazine in a Stevens 200 .22/250 have the rear of the magazine blanked off or is it the same length as the .243 / .308 magazine?

How hard it is really to load the centre feed intergral magazine?

Don't know the answer to your first question.

As to your second question, I find it very easy. Place the loaded cartridge on top of the magazine lips. Push down until it pops into the magazine. Voila!

Hornet, I have the 12FV in 308 and a 12FV in 22-250 (well it used to be anyway) and the mags are identical, both guns are center feed. I also have a Stevens 200 that is Stagger feed and started life as a 308 (now wears the above 22-250 barrel) and it has the same sized mag as the 110 in 22-250 I just parted out for the action (yes it was a Long action with the short action mag box).

223 is a totally different class of round and does have a different mag.

The 223Rem size can be tricky at times if you have fat fingers, but you get the knack of pushing down and back. No problems with the 308 size.

If it is a stagard feed the magazines are the same, if it is a centerfeed a 22/250 use a diferent magazine than a 308 or a 243, it is not blocked off but the lips are diferent to accomidate for the tapered case.
