230gr Berger Hybrid and the 30-06

Hello. I was wondering if anyone has any expieriance withe the 230gr Berger and the 30-06. I am interested in rifle specs perticularly twist rates and barrel lengths in relation to muzzle velocity. Thank you.

I would have some interest in this also. Is this a new bullet from Berger?

yes it has been out for a little while. I think it was origionally intended for the 300 win mag

You're going to need a 1 in 10 or faster to be able to stabilize the bullet, Thats all I know. The 30-06 isn't going to be able to push it out very fast.

if i could get 2700 out of it running a 30" barrel, the high BC would make up for slower speeds. Retained energy would be impressive if 2650 or 2700 was possible.

Sorry guys I really dig non magnum cartridges and standard bolt face long actions. Thats why i shoot 180 hybrids outta my 284 win long throat. High BC is all i do.
