Besides the barrel and bolt face what is required to make this change? Will a new firing pin be required and will this have to be a single shooter only or can a .223 magazine fit the LA mag port?

If this is a staggerfeed, remember that everything was made on a long action and I have one in .223. The box mag has a spacer tack welded inside to shorten it up and it uses the longer front baffle to limit bolt throw,so it is doable if you can find the parts. I would bet sss would have the box mag and the longer front baffle.

You will have to use a short action bolt head, and an extended firing pin stop nut to limit the firing pin protrusion. A .223 mag box will work if use use an "L" bracket extension to hols it in place.

extended firing pin stop nut to limit the firing pin protrusion.

This is what I believe I need as well so I can switch my 25-06 over to shoot .223
Very interested in getting one of these!
