Hi All,

Took the new Predator Hunter Max 1 for its first session today.. Dialled it in at 100 with the American Eagle 50gr Hollow points and set up the Monarch BDC accordingly (Love that system)

Anyway, during sighting in and hunting the American Eagle rounds would not feed properly. Also actually getting them into the mag was tough. The bottom of the round would not slide down after the 1st round was in. I had to push the first round down whilst feeding them in.. the front slides in nice but the rear just will not move without a fair bit of pressure.

I fixed the feeding problem (To the Bore) by changing to Highland Soft Point ammo... but the mag still wont take rounds properly.

It did not stop it from being accurate though! We saw a mob of Goats walking slowly through some trees at 242 yd... First Circle on the BDC and the Billy went down and barely moved.

Here is the Hunting area

And the Target Holder...

Any suggestions on the Mag problem? Feeding to the bore is sorted but the Mag is frustrating!

When you say "slide" I am confused.

Center feed mags are loaded by pushing straight down from the top, one over the next - no sliding.

Like in this video of a 10 round mag

For my 'Max, I sprayed the mag, mag well and the mag internals with 100% silicone spray. It helped a lot.
