Savage replacing barrel on my new Axis.

In the case you following my thread: (http://savageshooters.com/SavageForum/index.php/topic,49061.0.html), about the rough reamed 7mm-08 barrel. The latest from Savage is they are replacing the barrel.

The updated thread sufficed. No need for a new one. Glad to hear they are taking care of it for you. They are good at making it right with the owners however unfortunate and sad it is that some of the problems exist in the first place.

OH! You mean this is not like twitter ??? All kidding aside, just wanted to emphasize my point that one does not have to accept a roughly machined barrel from the factory. Or expound that Savage barrels are all necessarily copper collectors, as the first responses to my original post stated.

Maybe not quite related, but I did some digging and Savage does have a Sunnen hone. They use it for the shotgun barrels.
