Have you looked into a 22-250 AI instead???
You can always load it down to replicate the 223 AI ;)
With the money saved while using the 223 AI, you can buy a 22/250 or 22/250 AI barrel/dies and test for yourself. Save $10 per hundred on new Rem or Win brass alone.
A little more speed is great, but there is no free ride, as we all know.
Would rather have longer barrel life than another 200 feet per second.
