has anyone used the vortex rings they come by the each and have 6 screws? i seen one at a store around here so i got it since it was the hight i needed and then ordered the other one from vortex on line. just wondering if anyone else has used them

also i was wondering. if i use a 25moa base with the vortex viper pst's 65moa adjustments how many moa should i have for elevation?

Never used the rings. Never saw the need to spend that much.

As far as remaining elevation, in theory you would have 57.5MOA available, but I've only had it work out that way 2x out of the 30 or so scopes that I've mounted.

the rings are only 20.00 bucks a ring

Huh. They came out with a BUNCH of new rings. I was only familiar with their Precision and Razor rings which are $$$.

All the others look like various rings from other manufacturers and are probably produced by the same suppliers. Which rings in particular are you talking about? I assume you're talking about their tactical rings which look identical to the Burris XTR rings which I've used and they work well.
