Axis .223 magazine capacity?

What is the capacity of the magazine for a Axis .223?
Savage website says 4 round. Ads for replacement mags say 3 round. I am able to put 5 rounds in mine. Which is it?
By the way, I haven't tried to fire the gun yet so I don't know if it will feed correctly with 5 rounds in the mag.
