I'm in the process of doing up a long action with a 30" barrel on it , and either S.S.S LRBR or HBR stock.
So my question is what type of hard cases' are guys using ? It will be only able to hold one gun and travel/airport friendly. "Friendly"=strong/secure. And with wheels if possible.

Brand : Pelican
Model : 1750

Only one I'll use. Traveled twice with it (and that is way easier than I thought it might be).

I have a SKB double rifle case...it has wheels and locking latches:

2SKB-5009
ATA Double Rifle Transport Case

This is an updated model...looks like I will invest in one of these for sure:
3i-5014-DR
Injection Molded Mil STD
Double Rifle Case

I use the same one. They are very durable. I travel with mine a few times a year.

I use the Pelican 1750 case but with a 30" barrel it may be a little tight seeing as how they are only 50.5" inside measurement. Check the overall length of your rifle first then search the Pelican site for one that has more room.

I guess that depends on your definition of "tight". The 1750 is the longest model Pelican makes.

Pelicans are the way to go, but with a long rifle like that you need a 1770. They are 54.5" long (inside). They are also 8" deep inside which is 3" more than the 1750, so you can cut deeper compartments for additional storage. Unfortunately they are also significantly more expensive, but IMO the best case you can get.
