Ok I have been thinking about a new build based off of a stevens long action, I am strongly leaning towards the 264 winchester,so I know I need the magnum bolt face. Also really leaning towards a DBM . everything else is still up in the air. This rifle will be used for longrange hunting and shooting. I have heard nothing but good things about the CBI barrels so im leaning that way I wood also like to have a tactical style stock, so I guess what Im asking is if this was your build and you know the criteria what parts wood you all use. Am I limiting my stock options by going with a dbm, Im budgeting between 1200 and 1500 for this build. so please tell me what you Think. Jay

With 1500$you should be able to do exacly what you want to do. CBI barrels are very good. I have a 243 win that is great. And, Stock options are limited for DBM , but any stock could be opened up for a DBM. Anything is possible, just depends how much you want to spend.
