You may want to do a chamber cast. Did you get any brass with it? I'm guessing no?

You definitely want to verify the chambering. :o

Wouldn't want to make a mistake and blow a rifle up.......or yourself for that matter! ;)

If the barrel is 25 caliber and the case is truly a 264/7mag, then you have essentially a 257 Weatherby without the funny round shoulders..... My bet it IS chambered in 257 Weatherby=Casting the chamber would be a very good idea!!

A product called Cerrosafe, it's a low temp alloy that is dimensionally stable. A Mauser chamber can be a little tricky to cast but since the stuff melts at under 200 degrees you can melt it out with a heat gun if you get some where it doesn't belong. I know that Brownells and Midway both carry Cerrosafe.

Cerrosafe melts at 158 degrees
for load data you should be able to use the low side
loads for the 264 mag and work up.
