I have a savage 340 in .223 with extraction issues. I didn't have it on hand when I ordered what I thought was the correct part from Numrich... Well I think they sent the one for either the .225 or .30-30. I don't know if I ordered the wrong one or they had the wrong picture on the website.

What I was hoping for is if someone had one in .223, if they could take a good picture of the bolt face and extractor area, to see if I can see what is broke on mine. It was broke when I got it, and it is a cheap fix, but I don't want to order another $12 part + shipping that will be useless (yes I'm cheap). Any help will be very appreciated.
Thanks,
KP

I don't have one. .223s are not as common as .222s

If you still need it let me know. I have one in .223, although i heard .222 is the same bolt. Does your extractor look like brass?

I have the same issue, I have a .222 and i believe it is the same bolt head. I have not been able to find the extractor, and yes it is "brass Colored" not sure if it is really brass. I was considering changing to the band type extractor/bold head, but am unsure if the action with allow it. Ill let you know if I find anything. If you find something let me know.
