Just disapeared as I was putting it back in the bolt. Is there anyone who sells ejectors and springs and pins? I'm going to need more, I'm very clumsy.

thanks;
joe b.

I'm knocking on wood here, I took BillPA's advice and did mine inside a bag. Aukward but safe.
Call SSS, they have plenty of these little items that get launched.

I lost the ball bearing 3 times and was lucky enough to find it the last time I had mine apart. I am getting fairly good at taking it apart and putting it back, I have done it so many times. ::) I ordered 2 springs and 2 ejector springs and a retainer pin from Savage and had them in 3 days.

There is no ball bearing in the ejector! So you couldn't have lost it even once.

Midway has all the small parts for a bolt head.

Hey there Ed....hows things?

LOL.... I only use one bag and it ain't for disassemble'n bolt heads. :o

Take a look at the FAQs "how to disassemble a bolt head" for the easy (lazy) way.

I just wrote a pm to SSS, I think, asking about ejector-spring-pin availabilityu and cost. If I ever get the parts, here's the question. The ejector has a flat for the pin to go next to and hold it in. The round sections of the ejector are short on one end, long on the other end. Does the short or the long end of the ejector go in the bolt?
Thanks;

My mistake I meant the extractor. Sorry I took the ejector out long ago since I only shoot this one from the bench.

Ace Hardware sells the 1/8" ball bearings for ten cents each....
