Maybe not as light as some would want but it will do for me. 8.5 pounds with 4-16-44 Vortex HS scope. Have one more to put together a 300wsm just waiting on action from NSS and barrel. Savage sold me all the WSM/SAUM bolt parts again (9/16 bolt head, firing pin assembly, and baffle for 9/16 bolt head) same parts I got for kids7mm SAUM.
Savage 110 action
300wm mag #6 Rock
Bell and Carlson medalist, barrel just floats, had to take some material out of trigger area for accutrigger.

It has the kind of lethal look about it that has liberals peeing down thier leg. I like that.

This is my first non black rifle, it looks alright. I hope it shoots good its going out west this coming fall. My kids 7mm saum shoots great had a .565 5 shot group and a .213 3 shot group the other day. I dont even have a load yet, one of those groups was with re17 and the other with 4831.

How do you like your Viper HS?

It seems to work very well, i have shot some 5 shot groups with barnes 168tsx, and 208 amax loads and they are averaging around .650 to .700. It has thin cross hairs that work well for shooting groups but will have to see how they are in the woods at low light. Side focus works well getting rid of parallax and it tracks very well. Rifle recoil is very heavy, have around 60rounds through it without loss of zero.
