Well I've got my 300WSM Weather Warrior sold so it's time to get the new rifle gears moving. I've set my sights (no pun intended) on a Hog Hunter in .308.

Has anybody seen one at their LGS or gotten any information on when they will be available? I'd like to get it in my hot little hands soon so I can mount my optics and get it firing as soon as the weather warms up.

Thanks

I spoke to a Savage rep during an outdoor show last week and he said they have started shipping the '12 models out and they should start showing up in stores very soon, if they havent already. Sure the bigger stores will have them first though.

have your dealer start checking the big suppliers.

Kinda of waiting to see what prices these hit the shelves at. Thinking about one in 338WM just because ;D.

EDIT: Just noticed 3 models offered in the 375 Ruger. Now that may be fun.

It looks like the MSRP is around $520 I think. I'm guessing that will put the actual sale price in the high 400's.

Bud's Guns is showing them "out of stock" but last priced at $418. If that is correct It's going to be hard not to get one.

Buds often shows new guns out of stock before they receive them. Its just a place holder and they can gauge the demand from the wish list.

I'll be marking them @ $400.00 if my supplier will get them in!!

Try the 208 gr Amax over RL17.
220 gr roundnose is a good woods bullet with about the same POI.

My gun store didn't have any in stock but I put my money down for the order. They didn't have a set price yet but I'll be calling in a couple days to find out.

Too bad silencers aren't legal in NY. I'll have to leave that ugly thread protector on or get a brake.
