Do I need high or extra high rings to mount this scope on my Savage Axis 308?

I would think high rings would be more than enough.

Yep, I use Burris high rings for 50 mm objective. Clears barrel by about 1/8".

I have one with warne high rings and an egw 0 moa base. I have alot of clearance but thats due to the base. For a lower base, the high rings are perfect.

I had one on a 223 once and loved it. Tracked well and the glass was surprisingly clear. I could easily see the holes in paper at 200yrds. You wont he disappointed.
