I have a old model 340D .222 and I believe that the small brass colored insert retained by the flat spring, is wore and I am looking to replace it
I have found this
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/catalog/Detail.aspx?pid=327790C&catid=633
but no luck sold out.
Extractor, .222 & .223 Cal. - Small Brass Colored Insert Retained By Flat Spr
SAVAGE
340B, 340C, 340D, 340V
Product No. 327790C

Any one have other options or know somewhere I could find it?
I thought maybe another option would be to replace the bolt head to the band type extractor with they have in stock...

Any help would be great thanks!

Been there, done that. The only 223/222 bolts or bolt heads I have seen or been able to find that have the band-type extractor do not have a plunger ejector built into the bolt face. That means you have to retrofit to the flipper-type ejector on the side of the receiver. On both guns I have converted to 223, the slot for said flipper ejector was too short for the flipper, and I had to mill out an extension for the slot in the side of the receiver.
