I am new to precision reloading and just had my first successful range session with handloaded rounds. Definitaley an improvement of shot placement and the realization that my gun can shoot better than I can at the moment.
I have read and seen videos about resizing and get about 100 different opinions. From my limited understanding, my brass is now "fire formed" and will fit my chamber like a glove. I don't need to do a full length resize unless they are having trouble fitting in the gun or have expanded beyond length. From what I have read and watched, I just do a "neck sizing".
And then I read about "bumping the shoulder back" with a redding die and don't really know what that really means. So there is neck resizing, shoulder bumping, and full body resizing....which do I do now that I have fired one round out of my Lapua brass?
I have a Lee precision set with collett die, full body die and bullet seater...do I need to buy another die for shoulder bumping? Is it all dependent on how my brass have expanded during firing?
