I've just put a 6mmBR barrel on a long action, has anyone come up with a backyard bubba bolt stop modification to shorten up the bolt travel?

Thanks for the feed back!

You could get a 223 front baffle.

That is what I would do.
Sharpshooter did one better, a gun he built for varmint hunters magazine he silver soldered a arm cut off of a 223 front baffle, onto another 223 front baffle.

thanks for the help. I 'll assume the soldered-on baffle extension was only attached to the primary baffle, and not to the bolt?

Remember you asked!!
Shoot that bad boy off offsided. That is shoot a left handed gun right handed or a right handed gun left handed. Trust me if you keep your sight picture in the scope, your trigger hand on the gun and work the action with your free hand your nose and teeth will become the boltstop! After a few rounds the bleeding stops and you get the hang of not useing all the travel!!
Brought to you by a cheap, right handed, left eye dominant b@st%rd that can't decide if he wants to shoot left or right handed. This may sound crazy (and I may be?) but this is my favorite way to shoot prairie dogs with my left handed long action 204.

Hey Jeff,

I have one from one of the old 110's with a .308 magazine I'll swap for your short one. It will get you a little closer to where you want to be, it's about an inch long.

BobT and Wbm,

I currently have a long action 110 Silhouette (with the .308 magazine, and a nice stainless fluted .308 barrel), which I'm trying to adapt the 6mmBR barrel onto. I'm not giving up on the .308 so I intend to keep the extra parts. Thankyou for the trade offers, but I'm just tying to gather what I need for the making the 6BR a varmint repeater.
