varget alternatives?

Does anyone know any good alternatives to the elusive varget powder. I heard winchester makes a similar powder but i dont know which one thanks.

Reloader 15 is really good with that bullet in the .308

I believe that IMR 4064 is very close to Varget. It used to be a standard for 308 Win loads.

I'd add H4895 and IMR 4895 as good options as well.

I bought 8 pounds of Win 748 because of the Varget Shortage. Then a keg of Varget showed up a couple weeks later. Vit N140 is also very close.

Another for Ramshot TAC. I also use Ramshot Hunter. Had such good luck with it I got rid of my last 5 pounds of Varget.

I haven't used 748 in .308 but it worked well for a .243 I loaded for. I now use Ramshot Hunter in my .243.

Win 760 is the go to powder around here. Everybody overlooked it, until no Varget could be found.

Velocity is at least 100 fps faster and groups are great in three 308's that I have tried it in.

Are any of these ball or flake powder? Varget meters so terribly being extruded, even with the RCBS Chargemaster, that I have to set it .3gr less than I want and trickle up to target charge.

all of the ramshot I have tried is ball and it comes out really nice on my dps3

I have Pact and 1 in 8 might go over .1 with stick powders.

I've had excellent results with IMR 4064.
