Bought a 338 Lapua Mag had the Ackley Improve done with a night force 5x22. This thing shoots great. 1/2 MOA or better. This shoots as good as my 338 edge. I was very suprised by an out of the box gun shooting as well as some of the custom made guns. I am trying to find a 9 - 13 " bipod preferably atlas but having a heck time locating one; what is the next best model. Harris? I would like it to swivel and lock and mount easily to the gun sling stud without any modifications. Thanks.

Glad to here it shoots. Ackley wasn't around to AI that the one though. I believe it is a .338 AX, Allen Xpress.

Mile High Shooting Supply reportedly has a large order of Atlas bipods on their way...

Didn't know there was a bipod shortage now! What's next?

Ackley him self didn't do it. a gunsmith did the AI to the gun. He bores it out at an 40 degree angle then shoot your brass to form it and reload it. It shoots about 200 fps faster. Thanks for the heads up the bipods. I talked to three different places yesterday they are all on back order.

I ordered the Atlas BT 10 Bipod today with accu shot bt 115 bipod adapter mounting kit. After reading through the forums I am hestitant to mount the bipod. Atlas rep said use the sling screw and tap the aluminum in the stock. Others are saying a bipod with flex this plastic stock decreasing consistent accuracy. If I dont mount a bipod what should I use hunting a shooting stick? Thanks.
