I want to get a mod 12 LRP. I really like 6.5X47L, but it's not offered, so I think I'll get the 6.5 Creedmoor. Are the Hornady dies OK? I really don't want to spend over $100 0n dies if I don't like it, just to change it to 6.5X47L. I've shot the Hornady factory loads with 140 Amax bullets and they shot well. Are there other loads that shoot better?

The only experience I have with Hornady dies was a 20 cal neck die. I didn't like them, it wasn't a "set by bottoming the die" like EVERYONE else. You were supposed to "feel" the sizing operation; meaning you mess-up shoulders.
For the money, buy Lee.

Hornady, RCBS, Wilson and Redding all have dies for 6.5 Creedmoor - do not know about Lee or Forester, could not find any when I bought mine.
I have the Hornady, and like mine, much less $ than Redding and just as good. I have Redding and Lee for my 223 and Redding for the 20 Tactical.

What kind of accuracy are you getting, and with what bullet?

I have the LRP in Creedmoor. I also have the $35 Hornady FL dies for it. They are fantastic dies. My cases and loaded ammo are near perfectly concentric. I liked the Hornady dies so much that I replaced my old 7mm-08 dies with a FL set from Hornady. Now my 7-08 ammo comes out very nice as well.

They are great dies.

Accuracy has been really good, with the Hornady 140 AMax, under 1/2 inch @100, and was smacking steel at 500 just dialing the scope for that distance (it really smaked it)

Have some Nosler 140's load now, but no time to shoot em, will let you know how they shoot.
