Does anyone make a decent stock for the J model guns? I have the wood stock, just thinking about getting a synthetic.

no one makes a synthetic. If you are ambitious you can move the piller in a short action stock. cut on the front side as that is the way you need to move. about 1/4"

After some searching, I see Stockade makes some and inlets for the J. I believe he will get a call.

The stock in the top picture is a Stockade rollover thumbhole. It's a 1979 "J" series that I bought new as a 22-250.. It is now a 6mm AI w/a 26" Shilen SM Stainless barrel that was Teflon coated along with the action.
