Part # help needed

I just received a new bolt face Part# 451988 from Midway USA. Part is supposed to be for Savage short action model 10-16 for .308 which I need for my .338 Federal build. The part I received is approximately 1/8" longer than the bolt face on my other short action savages so when put it together, the firing pin is too short. Is this the right part# for what I'm looking for? I think the part# is correct but the part itself is for a long action such as for a 30-06. I really want to get this part!

sounds like a long action part.

cost more money, but you could have the new one machined to match your original so you would not have to adj the firing pin if you change back and forth.
