I got a couple at Sportsman Warehouse in Edmond for $259 in 2007 and 2008. They are closed now. My Gander Mountain in Sherman, TX, wants $329 for them. They are always high. We have a local pawn shop that has a couple of $289. Luck, Tim

Buds gun shop new.

$314 delivered (http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/14603)

You might be able to find a used Savage 223 for around the same price range at a shop but then you kno't know the history.

Can you post a link to this ad? I searched the academy sight and didn't find it. Heck, my academy doesn't even carry the Stevens line. Thanks, Tim

I went back and looked and it just says 7-08 and 270, but for the price you could buy a take off barrel and bolt face and still be ahead.

Glad to hear wasn't the 223, bought one two weeks ago at Academy in Midland, TX for $299.
They called it a truck gun, tan stock, 20" barrel.

Can ypu post pics please?

I've never seen a tan stocked Stevens 200, much less one with a 20" barrel.

Thanks

What weight is the barrel, Sporter or heavier?

I checked today and the only Stevens that is available locally is the sporter 22" barrel and the 26" varmint weight barrel.

Here is the after Thanksgiving add from academy, the Stevens is down on the left side.

Mine looks like this one, but I believe the barrel is shorter, its a sporter weight. If I can figure out how to post pictures I"ll put a photo of mine on.

I won my brand new Stevens 200 at auction for $240. Cost me $20 shipped and $15 transfer that would make it a $275 rifle. I'd buy another in a heartbeat at that price.

My Gander Mountain here in NYS quoted me $349.00 for the Savage/Stevens 200 rifle in the 223 Rem I figure it's a good price as Bud's Guns quoted $309.00 delivered, I figured that the cost sending it to my FFL dealer with his charge for bringing it in to him will be about the same after all said & done, I will just go to GM & buy it there, plus I will bring my Scope & mount & rings to them & let their gunsmith, mount & bore sight it for me all at the same time, Their gunsmith is a great guy who has done work on my other guns & knows his stuff, no charge for bore sighting & scope mounting. 8)

Hey guys I jumped ship at Acadmey I bought a Marlin XL7 270 caliber $259.00 12/29/09
Total was $282.88 out the door
much better looking stock and feel than Stevens 200
and it will take savage barrels with the nut to boot
